About

BestRallyChallenge is an exclusive car rally that brings together 25 supercars for an exhilarating journey across Romania, from Timișoara to Mamaia.

This six-day adventure offers participants private events, unique experiences such as the closure of the famous Transfăgărășan road (a mountain route ranked among the most impressive by Top Gear), and stops in key Romanian cities where enthusiastic crowds warmly welcome the convoy.

The rally has been a high-octane experience for my team and me, presenting challenges that pushed us to deliver something truly unique.

The Mission - The Challenges

The entire experience was nothing short of an epic odyssey, filled with relentless challenges that tested my limits not only as a videographer but also as a director. I had to ensure that my team understood my vision and was ready to give their best at every turn. This required meticulous planning and foresight, as I prepared my team for the various possibilities and locations where they would need to be positioned to craft the most compelling narrative.
The journey was a true testament to the power of collaboration and our collective passion for bringing a unique story to life.

After my first conversation with the event organizers,a burning question ignited within me: How can I elevate this event aftermovie to unparalleled heights? As a storyteller, I've always been drawn to transforming seemingly ordinary ideas into extraordinary tales that captivate and immerse the audience.

Armed with a clear vision, I embarked on this adventure, traversing the awe-inspiring landscapes of Romania: Timișoara, Recaș Wineries, Transylvania Ring, Sibiu, Transfăgărășan, Brașov, Bucharest, Constanța, and finally, the luxurious yacht in Mamaia. In contrast to typical aftermovies that unfold chronologically, I dared to defy convention and create a story that would build tension and reach dramatic climaxes at Transfăgărășan, the enchanting city atmosphere, Transylvania Ring, and the opulent yacht in Mamaia.

After the first location, Timișoara, we arrived at Recaș Wineries, where the organizers spontaneously suggested filming from a helicopter. This became the first climax of the footage.

Filming from the helicopter was an experience like no other. There was no door on my side, allowing me to film freely. We reached speeds of up to 250 km/h to catch up with the convoy.

The most adrenaline-pumping moment was when we flew parallel to the cars and suddenly made a sharp turn to zig-zag above them at 150 km/h. My focus was on capturing the craziest angles; if I had been leaning out without a camera, I would have undoubtedly been sick.
